Fitzmill

A Fitzmill can be used for various purposes: including emulsifying, de-agglomeration, dispersing, blending, pulverizing, granulating and similar process operations calling for controlled size reduction. Some of the advantages include providing uniform particle sizes for better process control of color, taste, flowability, density, dispersion rates and chemical reactions.

A Fitzmill is effective in achieving a particle size range from 2000 microns (10 U.S. mesh) to 125 microns (120 U.S. mesh).

The Fitzmill works by passing material through a chamber that houses a set of rotating blades. These blades either smash or cut the material, forcing the material through a screen. By changing the screen size and the RPM of the mill blades, you can effectively alter the particle size distribution of the finished product.
